MOXIE: ARE YOU MAKING IT COUNT?
I just returned from meetings in Russia where our business is growing to amazing new heights. One of our CIS distributor leaders came up to me at a meeting jammed with distributors, recruits and abundant energy and said, “Welcome, Aaron. Can you feel the moxie here?”
Oh yeah. You bet I could.
Moxie is a word we’ve used since the founding days of XANGO. It’s something that has set us apart…from our corporate offices our families in the field. Moxie was a XANGO building block…and it’s a key ingredient to our global future.
What is Moxie? It’s a deep-seeded swagger…a distinguished savvy…a genuine confidence and a belief that fuels commitment, action and resilience. It’s when you know you’re onto something special and you’re not only going to be part of it, you’re going to be a KEY part of it. Moxie is that sensation that makes your eyes wider, your smile bigger, your stride longer. Moxie keeps you up at night because you’re too excited to go to sleep. It keeps you focused and it keeps you driven.
Moxie cuts through the clutter. It empowers you to ask the right questions and seek the answers with a vengeance. Moxie takes on challenges without giving in to distraction. It’s there to support you in making the tough decisions and taking powerful steps forward.
Moxie is an essential for entrepreneurs. Simply put, it’s why we do what we do. Yes, it’s about pursuing our ultimate goals, yet the sensation we get everyday is what keeps us going. That’s Moxie. It just feels that good to go after your dreams.
Here’s something else I’ve learned about Moxie as we’ve built this company with our distributor partners around the world: Don’t take it for granted. And don’t neglect it along the way.
Moxie requires your energy and your attention. Your focus fuels it. Likewise, the distractions you allow erode the power of Moxie. When you take your eye off the ball, your faith in yourself and your mission is compromised. Keep that in mind the next time you catch yourself wasting a day. It may be more than productivity on the line.
Leaders drive the power of Moxie. They inspire and instill Moxie in others. And they work to build it and protect it from erosion. That’s a key way to making it count…and it’s essential to making Moxie work for you and for others.
So…do you have Moxie? And…if you do, are you making it count?
